Inspite of all this I woke up really good and the only depressing thing was that the 11 km was through Burgos, through mainly industrial plants and apartment blocks. But the end of the city compensated me for everything, the historical district of the town was wonderful.

The rest of the day was shadow free and I walked near  plough-lands. At 34 km at a fabulous pilgrim accomodation , in the middle of the wasteland, I could have finished the day. There was one free bed out of 12, but there was no electricity and no meal was available. After 15 minutes thinking, I decided to walk an additional 6 km by opening my last secret energy source. The main reason was that I thought the previously consumed one banana and two oranges are not quite enough for this much distance covered. If there was kitchen or I had food on me I would have stayed for sure, because the place was more then idyllic.

I didn’t regret to walk. Surely the 6 km was cruel, but I arrived to a beautiful little village, where internet was available anywhere, but in the third inn a room was free for me and I had an excellent dinner. It seems I didn’t gain any weight, though I don’t have a weighing machin, but I am using holes on my belt that I have never used before.

I slept very bad. My legs, mainly my sole, were aching until morning, indicating me the result of the 50 km. I started late and tired.

Astorga is the most beautiful place for me so far. The day started with a short sight seeing, where I was suprised to meet two polish pilgrims, with whom I met before. How can they be here when I am doing this much of distance daily? They also looked suprised to see me there.

After Astorga a wonderful little chapel got into my way. An old men was guarding it, at the entrance old photos were on the wall. The atmosphere touched me , i spent some time there.

It was a slope day today the path brought me to 1500 m high. it was strange that I didn’t felt it. I chose to cover a short distance, because the accomodation would have been uncertain (regarding the number of free spaces), on the other hand the pilgrim has other things to do not just to walk. Because of the kilometers covered in the past days I didn’t always have time and strenghts to wash, so it was time (or rather pressing) for a washing day.

At dinner I met my polish friends again. They invited me to their table and we talked. One of them is 27 years old, his uncle is 43. It turned out that they have the same amount of time available like and they are doing it harder. Their daily record is 60 km. We had a great conversation, I gave them the address of my blog, looking forward to their comments.

Nothing else worth mentioning happened today. The beautiful, medieval historical villages disappeared, and were replaced by farms. I am sure I will have the smell of the beef dung in my nose for days…

Several requests came that I should tell exact details of my shell announcement of competition. So: the white shell, what was with me during my trip, will be given to the person, who fulfills the following two conditions:

1. Has the most personal PV in May in my network (important not only Hungary!)

2.Post a comment with her/his name and PV value on 1st June (only on this day!) in the DXN menu of my blog.

If we are the marketing topic, there is another thing. Here at the Camino the marketing activity is also increasing. On the forest paths accomodations are offered on billboards with photos on it, and flyers are sticked up on kilometre stones and at the entrance of the villages there are posters, with address and telephone number at the bottom, which can be teared off. But this was all nothing, it happened a couple of times, that personally people come to you (by bicycle, motor or car) and give you their flyer. Everything for the pilgrims…
